What is in this packet?
– 18 article and noun cards (Characters for Who?)
– 18 verb cards (What?)
– 18 place cards (Where?)
– Sentence Building Mat
– 2 Recording Sheets
There are a total of 54 picture cards, 12 cards each for the beginning, middle and ending of the sentence. This allows for endless combinations of different sentences. The sentences formed will be nonsense or silly sentences which provides learners with a fun experience as they build their sentences. All of the pictures are spring themed.
The sentence mats contain three boxes with Who? What? Where? so learners can recognize the structure of sentences easily.
How to use this?
Learners will place the picture cards onto the sentence building mat and read out the sentence that they have formed. They can record the sentence if required onto the recording sheets (two versions are included). The picture cards are color coded to the boxes on the sentence building mat.
The centers are best used once printed on cardstock and/or laminated. You can choose to implement these centers in an independent way or use with small-groups.
