Free Bee Emergent Reader (3 Levels)
Free Bee Emergent Readers
Today, I am sharing this set of free bee emergent readers. This is a free printable so do scroll to the end of the post to download the free printable.
From among all the little (mostly) bugs and insects out there, bees are insects that have fascinated me the most. I simply love the way they live in such a social family, they are ready to sacrifice their lives to protect their homes and the immense amount of work that worker bees can do. I mean, like its amazing how so many creatures can function together to run practically a whole town and get things done. Anyway, moving on…
These emergent readers are perfect to introduce your young readers to bees and the fact that we get honey from them. The books also cover a little bit of bee related vocabulary such as hive and beekeepers.
For more on bees check out our bee unit study which features posters about everything on bees, a book about how honey is made, simple sorting mats, worksheets and life cycle activities!
The readers come in three levels. And they are in black and white, so the readers can colour them practicing their fine motor skills!
The first level contains just two words per page, making it ideal for readers who can read only basic sight words.
The next level contains slightly more advanced text featuring short sentences.
The third level is much more advanced and is more of science non-fiction reader. One of the pages is shown below. This can be used in combination with our bee unit study.
These readers are free so just scroll down enter in your email address, and the printable will be delivered into your inbox! Do check your spam or junk email in case it ended up there.
