This unit covers all the necessary units required for preschool math using fun, hands-on football math centers. There are a total of 28 Hands-on Math Centers covering the following topics.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #1: 1-10 Football Counting Clip Cards

Count the number of footballs in the field. Clip the correct number using wooden clothespins.



FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #2: 10 Frame Matching Game

Match the number of footballs in the 10 Frame to the correct number on the football. This can be used as a memory game as well.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #3: Football Visual Discrimination

Look at the different emotions on the card. Cover the one which is different. Use snap cubes or circle counters.

FOOTBALLĀ MATH CENTER #4: Football Shape Clip Cards

Match the football shape to the correct shape. Clip the correct shape using wooden clothespins.



FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #5: Football 1-20 Number Cards

Learners should place the number cards in the correct numerical order. Learners can also guess which number is missing and what number should come next.



FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #6: Football Colour Sorting

Sort the cards according to their colours into the correct category. There are a total of 6 colours to sort. I must confess I have no idea what the blue pair of shoes are doing in the white column LOL.

FOOTBALLĀ MATH CENTER #7: Match the Football to the Goal Post

Match the football shapes to the matching shapes within the goal post.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #8: FOOTBALLĀ Playdough Mats #1-10

Roll balls of playdough and place it in the 10 frame.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #9: Find and Cover the Numbers in the Football Field

Flip over the number cards and find the matching number in the field. Cover it with a small manipulative.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #10: Flip the football and trace the shape

Flip over the football shape cards. Find the matching shape on the page and trace it.



FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #11: Colour the Football Pattern

Colour the footballs according to the pattern indicated.



Football MATH CENTER #12: More Than or Less Than Subitizing Center

Take the counting, number and subitizing cards. Count the items and decide if it is smaller or larger than the number indicated on the page. Can be used for smaller numbers between 1 to 5 or for larger comparisons between 1 to 10. Avoid using all the cards at once to prevent overwhelming the learner.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #13: Subitizing and Counting – Football Number Sense

Take the counting, number and subitizing cards. Count the items on the card and place it in the correct number mat.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #14: Roll and Read the Number

Roll a dice. Read and cover a number on the line matching the number rolled.Ā 

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #15: Oral Directions: Football Positional Words

Read the directions from the card. Ask your learner to listen and follow the directions. The items have to be placed in the correct positions.



FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #16: What is 1 More Football?

Count or recognize the number of footballs in the 10 frame. Clip the number that is one more.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #17: What is 1 Less Football?

Count or recognize the number of footballs in the 10 frame. Clip the number that is one less.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #18: Measure the Height Using Snap Cubes

Place snap cubes along the line beside the item. Count the number of snap cubes used to measure the height.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #19: Measure the Length Using Snap Cubes

Place snap cubes along the line beside the item. Count the number of snap cubes used to measure the length.



FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #20: Measure the Height Using Footballs

Place the football along the height of the item. Count the number of footballs used to measure the height of the item.



FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #21: Measure the Length Using Footballs

Place the football along the length of the item. Count the number of footballs used to measure the length of the item.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #22: Order by Size

Place the items in order of size from ‘smallest to biggest’ or ‘biggest to smallest’.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #23: Counting and Filling in the Football 10 Frame

Count the number of footballs in the field. Fill in the 10 Frame with the correct number of footballs using small manipulatives.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #24: Which Field Has More Footballs?

Count the number of footballs on the field on each side. Clip the side which has more.



FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #25: Which Field Has Less Footballs?

Count the number of footballs on the field on each side. Clip the side which has more.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #26: Spin and Cover the Football Shape

Use the spinner or pencil and paperclip to create a spinner. Cover the shape on which the spinner lands on.

FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #27: Football Graphing Activity

Make up the dice following the template. Roll in and colour in a box for whatever face the dice lands on.



FOOTBALL MATH CENTER #28: What Comes Next? Football Patterns

Look at the patterns and figure out what comes next. Paste the correct picture into the box.
